Degaussing Service
Your quantity of media doesn’t necessarily require you to purchase a
Degausser. For small to medium usage Peripherals is pleased to provide a DEGAUSSING SERVICE. Degaussers are also available for rental.

Peripheral Manufacturing, Inc. can degauss (erase), and then destroy or return your erased tape. If you are just getting rid of the media or migrating to a new system Peripheral Manufacturing can assist in making sure that data no longer exists on the media. Peripheral Manufacturing will provide a Certificate of Degauss. If you need a confidentiality agreement, email or call us to request one.
We warranty all our work. In some cases you may want to erase, clean, and test your media, or if you want to destroy media, we will be pleased to provide a quotation on any of your service requirements.
There are many different machines available to degauss (erase) your magnetic media. Having the proper equipment necessary to erase your media is extremely important.
Many firms do not realize the importance of degaussing media with the proper gauss strength.

Careful: some media that has been degaussed, erases the servo track, making the tape useless.
